Northern Kentucky Home Insurance Company is one such company.The company was formed as a co-op in 1901 and continues to maintain its high level of integrity and service. Former president Earnest Rahe said, "It really boils down to community values."
Cooperative insurance could be compared to the tradition of barn raising. If a family's barn was destroyed , the whole community came together to restore the building. It is in this spirit of Ben Franklin that the members of Northern Kentucky Home Insurance Co., in the event of a loss, help "bear one another's burdens."
Our company is organized under Chapter 299 of Kentucky Insurance law. All policyholders are members of the co-op and are given voting rights to determine, by election, the members of the Board of Directors.
Traditionally, we have been known for our friendly and affordable rates. Our company holds the position that every family should be able to acquire protection of loss by fire, wind, lightning, hail, the weight of ice and snow, gas explosion, and theft & vandalism.
